Antique 18th century Zand dynasty period (1750–1794) Indo-Persian Islamic  dagger Khanjar – Jambiya.
DETAILS: A double-edged curved blade with medial ridge, made of superb quality Damascus steel wootz , an upper panel on each side carved with a preying hawk. A waisted steel hilt of typical form, decorated with silver koftgari scrollwork, in its solid steel scabbard with wooden insert, decorated en suite with the hilt in silver koftgari scrollwork.
